Grup musik beraliran rock alternative ini dibentuk di London pada 1996 silam.

Ada empat personel utama Coldplay, yakni Chris Martin sebagai vokalis, Jonny Buckland sebagai gitaris, Guy Berryman sebagai bassis, dan Will Champion sebagai drummer.

Selama 25 tahun perjalanannya di dunia musik, Coldplay telah merilis puluhan lagu, satu di antaranya adalah "O".

"O" menjadi track kesembilan sekaligus yang terakhir dalam album Coldplay yang bertajuk Ghost Stories (2014).

Dalam sebuah interview dengan Zane Lowe, Chris Martin menyebut bahwa "O" menjadi salah satu lagu Coldplay favoritnya.
