Activity 7

Before reading the second part of "The Sacred Stone" story, let's make some predictions. Please answer the following questions and discuss them with your classmates.

1. Do you think the Randuayaivi people would live peacefully in the second part of the story? If not, can you predict what problems they might face?

2. Who started the problem, and how could they solve it?

3. Look at the picture to help you predict. What can you see from the picture? The picture leads you to a story that you will learn. Can you guess what the story will be about?

Answers:

1) I think they would not because, in a story, there must be a problem or conflict. The problem would be about the scarcity of sago again or the problem would be about a forest fire.

2) The Randuayavi people might start the problem. They might solve the problem by asking for help from God again.

3) I can see a forest fre. The story will be about a forest fire.
